Being Busy Versus Being Productive
How often do you ask someone,”How’s it going?” And they reply with, “I’m so busy right now I don’t know how I’ll get it all done!” Many of us feel that way but what are we actually busy with? You’ve heard the term “busy work” before and it usually refers to trying to look busy so the boss doesn’t find you some real work to do!
We often do that in our personal life and the same if we own a work at home business. By taking on a bunch of menial tasks rather than getting a grip on being productive. Subconsciously sabotaging our success and avoiding the very important things we should be focusing on.Because we’re too busy, we don’t have enough time to get them done!
Internet marketing is no different! We have to learn to be productive which means getting the job done in the allotted time we’ve set aside to accomplish the task. Activities have a way of expanding to the time you allot to them. And if you allow yourself the luxury of checking all of your emails, social networking sites, arranging your office or searching for tickets to some event. You’re not being productive, it’s busy work!
You control your time and your productivity by following a set pattern that you’ve established for yourself. Don’t let anything take priority over that, it has to get done first! After that you can go play your favorite Facebook game and socialize.
There are definite actions you can take to be productive. If you haven’t already found them on your own, there are people who can show you how. Proven action plans that you can basically copy and paste.
